| Summary | In 2009 and 2010 the economy of Amsterdam performed better than that of The Netherlands. In 2011 it is expected to grow 3.3%, against 1.4% of The Netherlands as a whole. Primary reason is that 25% of all jobs in Amsterdam are in the financial and business services sector, which are recovering fast from the financial crisis. |
