Summary

This report is a follow-up to previous work by CE Delft supporting VME (Dutch Association for Energy Markets) in drafting their Transition Strategy and providing the necessary background information to do so. The present report goes into the external costs associated with environmental impacts and accidents, land use, security of supply and flexibility issues over a large part of the power generation life cycle, viz. the mining, transport and combustion phases.
