| Summary | Email correspondence for Mater thesis. Dieter Oesterwind made a 'back of the envelope' calculation for future excess in Germany. It is based on the assumption that the capacity of wind turbines is subject to curtailment will increase linearly and the curtailed energy follows an exponential function. It is claimed that the major future challenge will not be 'congestion' (grid is full), but simply the overproduction from wind (demand too low). |
